Mercoledì si gioca di nuovo. E la sensazione è la stessa: due nazioni che sul campo continuano una conversazione iniziata altrove.
Questa è una ricostruzione immaginaria non è successo, non succederà. Ma se una partita può sembrare una battaglia, è questa.

On 22 June 1986, four years after a real war, eleven Argentinians and eleven Englishmen faced each other in a stadium in Mexico City. Nobody called it football.
On Wednesday they play again. And it feels the same: two nations carrying on, out on the pitch, a conversation that began somewhere else.
This is an imagined reconstruction — it didn’t happen, and it won’t. But if a match can ever look like a battle, it’s this one.
