A WARNING! Happened to me last night and I nearly fell for it.
Quite a clever new scam is defrauding Booking.com customers. This message (not a fake email) comes to you from the 'hotel' (the fraudsters have compromised the direct messaging) asking you to reconfirm your credit card within 24 hours or your stay will be cancelled. This comes via the OFFICIAL Booking.com App and looks and appears genuine.
It is NOT and you most certainly will be defrauded.
Please beware and share.
