The president of the Generalitat, Ximo Puig , announced this Thursday how the restrictions will be de-escalated in the Valencian Community and has announced the new measures that will come into force as of next week .
Puig has begun the press conference thanking the "effort" of Valencians for their "impeccable responsibility" in the fight against the pandemic. The president of the Generalitat has announced that it is necessary to go "little by little" and asks for "maximum prudence . "
It reports that it has gone from 4,800 Valencians hospitalized in one day to 1,300. "We are better but we are still not well . " And it is that, currently, indicates, there are 320 people in the ICU.
Regarding the measurements:
- It increases to four people maximum outdoors . In housing, the restrictions are the same as up to now.
- The municipal perimeter closure of the 16 cities that were closed on weekends is lifted . This measure will take effect from the weekend of next week. (This weekend still in force)
- The hospitality industry may open the terraces until 6:00 p.m. and only four people per table can meet and always with security measures (distance and mask).
- The shops may open until 8:00 p.m. with 50% capacity.
- Parks and gardens are opened .
- Increase the capacity in churches and religious and worship spaces by 50%.
Finally, Puig has announced that the regional perimeter closure continues and the curfew remains the same as until now, from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
The measures are extended for another 15 days.
