Hus i Fornalutx Uthyres

Välkommen till mitt hem, Casa Es Mayol, ett vackert traditionellt men ändå modernt mallorkinskt hus alldeles strax ovanför den medeltida byn Fornalutx i Sollerdalen. Huset är väl dokumenterat i olika inredningsmagasin och andra publikationer. Huset har en spektakulär panoramautsikt ut över bergskedjan Tramuntana, där det ligger inbäddat bland oliv, apelsin, citron och fikonträd. Huset når man via en stenlagd stig 150 meter ner från vägen (som leder till den romantiska byn Fornalutx). Byn ligger 300 meter nedanför huset om man väljer att gå den stenlagda tusenåriga stigen ned till torget.

Tomten har flera soliga terrasser runt huset med tillgång till utekök / grill och två skuggade matplatser/uteplatser på den stora altanen framför huset. Utsikten är spektakulär och fri med 180 graders utsikt över Tramuntana-bergen från alla terrasser och uteplatser . I Fornalutx finns mysiga affärer, restauranger, kaféer, barer och en matbutik. Det tar 5 min till Soller och 10 minuter till stranden vid Port de Soller med bil .

Sovrum :
Huset har luftkonditionering / fläkt och varje rum har separata entrédörrar till terrasserna utanför
Master Bedroom har en dubbelsäng och öppen spis .
Sovrum två har en enkelsäng .
Sovrum tre har en enkelsäng .
Barnsäng finns tillgänglig. Kan placeras i Master Bedroom eller i Sovrum 3.

Badrum:
2 badrum med dusch, wc, handfat.

Kök / Vardagsrum :
Öppen planlösning med soffa, öppen spis och kök. Dubbeldörr till stor terrass med fantastisk utsikt ut över bergen och dalen nedanför. Huset har Wi- Fi , Bose dockningsstation för iPhone , CD / DVD , Denon ljudanläggning. PC finns tillgänglig i separat rum.

Kök etc. :
Fullt utrustat kök med 5 lågig gasspis, ugn, kylskåp, diskmaskin, espressomaskin, diskbänk med varmt och kallt vatten. Fällbart matbord med plats för 6 + för måltider inomhus

Utomhus
Fastigheten har sol hela dagen vid fint väder. Två sitt / matplatser finns utomhus om du vill undvika solen. Dessutom sittgrupp med solstolar, soffa, karmstolar etc. på terass framför huset

Utomhus finns ett vackert täckt utomhuskök med diskbänk och grill samt 2 lågig gasspis och bord för 6+. I uteköket finns även tvättmaskin, diskho med varmt och kallt vatten,


I en separat byggnad finns torktumlare samt frys.
Separat dusch finns utomhus.

Rengöring / handdukar / lakan / städning :
Rengöring / Städning samt 1 omgång handdukar / linne ingår i priset . Ytterligare rengöring / städservice ordnas på begäran mot en extra kostnad.

Hon tar hand om huset när vi inte är här, och är personen som kommer att ta hands om er och hjälpa er tillrätta vid ankomst.

The house is even more beautiful than on the pictures. So many lovely details and stunning views and a peaceful environment. We felt at home right away. Fredric is a very nice and thoughtful host. We were staying here with our 2,5 year old son and Fredric bought a new baby bed for our stay. We arrived on Sunday afternoon, so Fredric arranged breakfast for the next morning. Very nice! He makes you feel very welcome to stay at his house. He wasn’t around for a long time and gives you all the privacy, but when we had a question he was more than happy to stop by and help us. We would definitely recommend this house!

The walk down to Fornalutx village past grazing goats, jasmin flowers and lemon, almond and olive trees, is a pleasure. We traveled to different places most days during our stay but always felt that this particular house was the loveliest spot on the island. 2016 står snart i farstun och de första bokningarna för nästa år har redan börjat trilla in. Funderar du själv på att komma till Mallorca under någon period nästa år för att njuta av den vackra ön mitt i havet? Söker du dessutom ett härligt boende i en pittoresk miljö i en av Mallorcas vackraste byar, då är du mer än välkommen att hyra mitt hus.

Hus i Fornalutx Uthyres

Välkommen till Mallorca 2014.
Tro det eller ej men snart är det nytt år igen och kanske hög tid att redan nu börja fundera på en vecka i solen på underbara Mallorca, -ön mitt i havet. Själv har jag lite ändrade planer för nästa år. Därför finns mitt hus tillgängligt för uthyrning i princip hela året. Först till kvarn....
Just nu bygger jag ett nytt utekök och uppdaterar trädgården. Rapporter om detta kommer senare med bilder.

Welcome to Mallorca in 2014.
Believe it or not but soon it will be New Year again and perhaps high time to start thinking about a week in the sun on the gorgeous Mallorca, -the island in the middle of the ocean. I myself have some change of plans for next year. Of that reason my house is now available for rent in principle the whole year 2014. First come first served ....
Right now I'm building a new outdoor kitchen and updating the garden. Reports on this projects will come later with pictures.

Welcome to our home, a beautiful traditional but still modern mallorkin cottage just above the medieval village of Fornalutx. The house is well documented in various interior design magazines and other publications. Located on the northern part of Majorca, next to Soller with a spectacular panoramic view of the mountain range of Tramuntana and the enchanted valley below. Situated among olive trees and orange orchards 150 metres from country road that leads to the beautiful village of Fornalutx.

The property has sunny terraces surrounding the house, outdoor kitchen/bbq, two shaded patios on front terrace. Planted terraced garden below. Incredible 180 degree view of the Tramuntana mountains from terraces and dining areas. Only 2 mins walk to the beautiful village of Fornalutx with shops, restaurants, cafes and bars conveniant store etc. 5 mins to Soller and 10 mins to the beach at Port de Soller. House is fully equipped with, choice of indoor and outdoor dining and seating areas. Close to hiking, tennis and golf. Strictly no smoking inside the house and no pets please.

All bedrooms have air conditioning/fan and separate entrance doors to outside terraces.

Notes on accommodation
Very suitable for 4 persons; in the heart of excellent and well sign posted walking area whilst still close to beaches, golf and tennis. No pets please. No smoking inside house.

Outside
All day sunshine but with choice of terraces and seating areas if you wish to avoid the sun. 2 outdoor dining areas, sun loungers, terrace sofa and chairs. Stunning views - you could spend you entire holiday here without leaving the house and the village. Lemon, grapefruit fig, almond and olive trees are growing on the terraces.

Coast/Beach
10 min drive to traditional sand beach, marina and restaurants of Port de Soller. Local boat trips available, plus the wooden tram running from Soller to the Port. 20 mins drive to Deia and its magical Cala.

Golf & Tennis
20 minutes to golf at Son Termens. Soller Tennis and Paddle Club 5 minutes drive, plus court available for use in village.

Special interest holidays
Very good hiking and cycling country.

How to get there
40 minutes drive from Palma airport.
Airport – Via Cintura towards Andraix – Turn left towards Soller – Through Soller tunnel – Towards Puerto de Soller – 4th roundabout keep right towards Pollenca, Lluc and Fornalutx – After 5 km. turn right towards Fornalutx. When arriving to Fornalutx please call Sari on phonenumber ###### She is the caretaker and will take you to the house.

The family Cederlund's newly built house is a compelling mixture of precise design and romantic ideals. Sited on the mountainside just above the pictnresqne village of Fornalutx, this small house has a wide, curving terrace like the deck of a ship, which makes it appear to sail above the olive and almond trees that surround it.

The view from it is of the chimneys and tiled roofs of Fornalutx stretching away down a valley towards Biniaraix and Soller. Above is the dramatic peak of Puig Major, the highest mountain on the island.

The family moved to Mallorca in an attempt to find a simpler lifestyle. To this end, the house built is not large, covering only ninety square metres, but it has been planned with meticulous attention to detail, whether in the provision of storage space, the design of door furniture and joinery, or the sensitive construction of its exterior walls; these follow the local custom of being made from found stone and assembled without mortar, like a dry stone wall.

From the outside the house is perfectly in tune with its setting and with the old village houses of Fornalutx, but on the inside its layout is entirely modern. Traditional features, like the white plastered walls and lattice-fronted cupboards, are used where they work in a modern context.

The feel for the colours and textures of Mallorca has led the family Cederlund to reuse some traditional things in a new context, like the terracotta roof tiles converted into up-lighters. In contrast, stainless steel fixtures in the kitchen was chosen; brushed-steel handles have been applied to cupboards rather than those of a more traditional style. Much of the furniture, beds, shelving and cupboards have been built-in to maximize storage space, and the bedrooms open onto the large curving terrace to extend the living space outwards.

There is also an outdoor kitchen and dining area, enabling the house to turn almost inside-out during mild weather. Below the terrace, rainwater is collected and conserved in a huge cistern.

A gentle discipline maintains the look of uncluttered simplicity in the bedrooms, as in the rest of the house, while a consistency of approach provides them with a decorative unity. In the main bedroom, tasselled pillows, a wooden and metal folding chair and a modern light by Son Pax are identical to those used in other rooms. All the beds are built-in, with spacious storage drawers for linen underneath. Mallorquin wicker baskets are used for storage both in the bedrooms and in the space above the bathroom ceiling.

Beautifully finished olive wood is used for the window frames and internal shutters, which are mounted in simple splayed reveals, and the stone sills all have rounded mouldings. However, the obvious care and craftsmanship with which these features have been made, with their elegant brass locks and catches, prevents them from appearing in any way mass-produced. Each bedroom of this small house opens onto the spacious terrace, instantly extending them outdoors as well as relieving any impression of the house being at all cramped.
