An afternoon on a catamaran - what a highlight to the holiday! Relaxing on deck, spotting the dolfins, riding a doughnut, enjoying the champagne and food provided by the lovely crew.

To enjoy the best views of the village, climb up to the ruins of the old castle „El Castillo“. Follow the signs up the narrow streets and steps, passing the Garden Restaurant, several lovely gardens and a range of sculptures. The steps and the rough track are steep in places (so wear appropriate walking shoes), but you will be awarded with wonderful views across the village and the mountains to the other side. Mind the donkeys, we had no problems, but they can supposedly get quite aggressive.

El Lagar - a place not to be missed in Frigiliana! Get a copita of local Muscatel sherry for just 1€ and enjoy fabulous views over the village and mountains. Best views at sunset!

Finding a real clay tennis court in this area is tricky, the only one we found of exceptional quality is the Monte Allegre club in the hills overlooking Torrox. It is run by a super friendly German family, has a heated pool for the kids to swim in whilst the parents are enjoying the game and a cute bar for drinks afterwards.

Cycling in Torrox - what a great day out! Hired bikes from Rentabike Torrox and cycled along the coast Malaga way - some way on the pavement, some part of it on a dirt track along the beach and then on a great newly build coastal path. Had delicious lunch in Venta el Molino overlooking the beach and an ice cream next to a great playground on Playa el Morche.

The Garden Restaurant - if you are looking for great food with fantastic views, this is a place to come in Frigiliana. This is a lovely family owned restaurant that mixes Spanish cuisine with oriental and middle-eastern herbs and influences. Real high class eating! It is situated in the hills above the Old Town, so in the middst of the high season it is also a lovely calm escape from the busy village centre. Looking for authentic Spanish lunch? This typical Chiringuito on the unspoiled Playazo Beach is a perfect place for honest and unpretentious Spanish food. Generous portions, reasonable prices, friendly staff, good selection of fish on the barbecue, fresh sardines and paella amongst bubbly Spanish families.

An absolute Must-Visit: the magnificent caves of Nerja. We certainly didn't expect the scale of it! Absolutely spectacular! Also easy to get to and well organised even in peak season.

Our spacious 2-bedroom apartment is tastefully furnished and has lovely views over the mountains, valleys filled with almond and avocado trees and the sea. Facilities include private underground parking, lift access, outdoor shared pool and sunbathing areas. Our own private roof terrace above the accommodation, elegantly furnished with modern lounge furniture and BBQ, provides even more spectacular panoramic views.
