The villa is at the southern edge of Gaucin village, near Ronda, Andalucia, Malaga province, Spain with an infinity pool set amongst exotic palms & rocks in 2 acres of mature Mediterranean garden. Gaucin is 600 metres above sea level and the villa affords spectacular open views down the Genal River valley to the Mediterranean and North Africa beyond. Djebel Musa is a romantic, colourful, beautifully maintained architect-designed Spanish-style villa. The garden is a mixture of mature palms amongst rocks and shrubs as well as wild olives and carobs filled with song birds on a hillside at the very edge of the pretty 'white village' of Gaucin. It is maintained and equipped to a high standard. The double-height open-plan living room with minstrels' gallery leads to a large covered veranda. There is an archway through to the large dining room which leads to its own covered dining terrace.

4 of the bedrooms and the main living rooms have French windows onto their own terrace or balcony. The 4th and 5th bedrooms are set up as a studio apartment that can be let separately outside the summer season. There are other terraces around the garden. With the current news reports of high temperatures in southern Europe and forest fires, Gaucin has a much 'milder' climate due to its altitude (600m/2000ft) and proximity to the Atlantic Ocean (30 miles/50km). Even during the recent heatwave in parts of Spain, Gaucin's max temperature for only a couple of days was 37C/98F before returning to 'normal' summer temperatures in this forecast from today (July 25).
