Hello! Allow us to introduce ourselves as the new owners of Casa en la Valleta! We moved here to Ginestar in 2021, with our two young children, who now both attend the village school. We live just over the road in our newly renovated townhouse and so are easily on hand for our guests if needed, and to provide tips on day trips and activities in the local area. We have truly fallen in love with all this beautiful area has to offer and regularly enjoy hiking in the local mountains (and further afield) or spending time at the coast at some of the area's numerous wonderful beaches. We are delighted to have taken over this charming townhouse, which had been closed since the pandemic, but is now ready for bookings again. We look forward to welcoming you back or introducing you to this beautiful part of Spain!

Summer 2020 dates are filling up fast. Pretty much all of June and July are already booked up with just a couple of weeks left in August. Spring and Autumn are better times to visit the region if you want to avoid the extreme heat, but still have plenty of sunshine and warm temperatures. Much to see and do in the area all year round, whether you are an adrenalin-junkie or prefer a more chilled out experience. Book now to enjoy a rural Spanish getaway!

The first of this year's olive oil, fresh and unfiltered straight from the mill. A cooperative effort with a few friends yielding just under 75 litres in total with 25 litres for us. We will be going for a second pressing after the local fiesta major which should hopefully get us quite a lot more oil to be enjoyed by all our townhouse guests.

We are now fully booked up through to the beginning of November, thanks to a corporate rental. Special rates are available through the winter months, just check out our listings on AirBnB (we are a super-host 😊) or Booking.com. Daytime temperatures are currently still in the high twenties and will generally stay in the mid-high teens right through the winter. Ginestar fiesta major will be on in early November when the olive harvest is in full swing and then there is the magical Christmas market in early December in the medieval streets of Tivissa. So much to see and do here and we would love to welcome you all to our special place in the Catalunyan countryside.

Visit to the Mediterranean Tortoise sanctuary at Marçà today followed by lunch at a local restaurant Les Agulles at the old station and then a tour of Celler Masroig with a tasting. And the obligatory purchase of some wine! Best bit was holding the baby tortoises that were only a few days old 🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢

Have you even wondered what is involved in harvesting olives to make olive oil? Would you like to get involved? Come and join us for a working holiday experience in mid-late November once the now green olives have changed to black and purple. If all the olives stay on the trees between now and then, there should be a good crop, enough to have our own pressing at the local mill. Willing canine assistants will anchor the nets down for you! Take home a bottle or two of fresh unfiltered extra virgin olive oil to enjoy.....contact us if you are interested in joining us for.the harvest.

A bird watching trip on the boat from Asco today which included an artisan beer tasting! We saw egrets, grey and purple herons, kingfishers, moorhens and ducks (of course) cormorants, black kites....the list goes on. Very enjoyable.

We are completely full in the townhouse throughout the month of August but plenty of space in September and October........

We are completely full in the townhouse throughout the month of August but plenty of space in September and October.....we have a special rate for bookings in those months so please message us if you are interested.

We will be starting the regular mountain walks again in September too - an ideal time for doing so as the oppressive heat of summer will have passed - so if you are a keen hiker this is a great area to explore with several major mountain ranges and also the Mediterranean coast within easy reach of the property.
