What BANG Means to Me
Two years ago, Jeff Candler and I started BANG ◇ Broker Alliance Networking Group ◇ with one simple purpose: relationships.
At the time, we were just looking to create a small network of agents we trusted. We figured maybe 20 or 30 strong referral partners meeting monthly, building real connections, sharing business, and helping each other grow. That was the vision.
What happened next completely exceeded anything we imagined.
Very quickly, we realized this was becoming much bigger than a simple networking call. We literally ran out of room trying to place agents on a map, which pushed us to build an interactive website so members could actually see and connect with one another across different regions. Then came the lunches and meetups: Austin, Las Vegas, Family Reunion events, Mega Camp, and so many other places where agents finally got to put faces to names and turn business relationships into genuine friendships.
At the same time, referrals started flying across the network. But what made BANG different was that it wasn’t just about transactions. It became about collaboration. Agents started openly sharing strategies, systems, ideas, wins, failures, and education. We understood something very important early on: the more our agents grew, the more all of us would grow together.
By the six-month mark, we had already reached 100 members.
Soon after, incredible partners like and approached us to join forces with BANG. Their support helped us expand even further and provide more value to our members. We brought on additional help, expanded our systems, and continued building something that truly served agents at a higher level.
One of the things I’m proud of is our YouTube channel, which now has nearly 300 videos featuring agents from all over the world sharing knowledge, experiences, ideas, and inspiration. Watching agents teach agents has been one of the most rewarding parts of this journey.
Last November, we rolled out memberships. That was a huge turning point for us because it allowed us to secure serious agents who were truly invested in the community and committed to showing up, collaborating, and contributing. BANG became stronger because of it.
We also launched our Military Affinity Group, which has been thriving for the past six months with monthly educational masterminds and powerful collaboration among agents who serve military families. And this is only the beginning. We’re preparing to roll out additional affinity groups while continuing to grow globally.
Today, BANG is over 300 members strong and growing daily.
But honestly, the numbers are not what matter most to me.
What matters most is the community.
BANG became something I never knew I needed. It’s a place where I can pick up the phone and ask questions, brainstorm ideas, share experiences, celebrate wins, and lean on people who genuinely want to see each other succeed. It’s agents helping agents without ego. It’s relationships before transactions. It’s collaboration over competition.
Of course, the referrals are incredible. But the real value is deeper than that.
It’s knowing that wherever you go, you have people in your corner.
It’s watching agents build businesses, confidence, friendships, partnerships, and opportunities they may never have found otherwise.
It’s seeing people from different brokerages, different markets, different backgrounds, and even different countries come together with one common goal: helping each other grow.
To me, BANG is not just a networking group.
It’s a movement.
And we’re just getting started.
