We love animals, and your pets are very welcome in our home. However, a few words of advice before you bring your furry friend along.
Please be aware that there are plenty of animals around our property, both domesticated and wild. The property is enclosed by a low stone wall, but this does not always deter curious visitors. Goats, wild boars, or a neighbour's dog may occasionally wander by.
If you plan to hike in the mountains with your dog, you may encounter herds of sheep, cows, or goats, often guarded by large mastiff dogs. These dogs are working and protecting their livestock and may not always be friendly. (Just doing their job!) For this reason, dogs should be kept on a leash wherever livestock roams freely, as well as in most national parks.
Please also note that dogs are not allowed on the beaches around Llanes during the bathing season, which usually runs from 1 June to 30 September.
