📌 From Student to Professional: How to Switch Your Visa in Spain

Finished your studies in Spain and want to stay?
You may be eligible to switch from a student visa to a work or entrepreneur permit — without leaving the country.

✅ What you need to know:

You must have completed higher education in Spain (EQF level 6 or above).

You can apply for a job-seeking permit or directly for a self-employment visa.

The application must be submitted within 60 days before or 90 days after your student visa expires.

📎 Proof of sufficient funds and private health insurance is required.
💡 If applying as an entrepreneur, you'll need a business plan and supporting documents.

Moving to Spain in 2026? Plan Your Fiscal Roadmap Before You Arrive

Relocating to Spain isn't just about packing bags — it's about planning wisely, especially when it comes to taxes.
Too many expats arrive unprepared and face unexpected liabilities. Let’s fix that.

✅ Here’s what to include in your fiscal roadmap:
• Check if you’ll become a tax resident under the 183-day rule
• Understand how worldwide income is taxed in Spain
• Avoid double taxation through treaty planning
• Structure your property and assets correctly
• Know your non-resident tax obligations if you're not staying full-time

💡 Early planning = lower risk + fewer surprises.

What documents need translation and legalization for Spanish immigration?

When applying for a visa or residence permit in Spain, most foreign documents must be legalized and translated to be valid.

✅ If your country is part of the Hague Convention, use an Apostille.
🌍 If not, you’ll need diplomatic legalization via the Spanish Embassy.
📝 And remember: all documents must be officially translated into Spanish by a certified translator.

📘 Don’t let paperwork delay your immigration process.
Let Fuster & Associates handle it for you.
