Some property stories are as interesting as the property.

This one starts on Easter Sunday, on a countryside hike, with a bad back.

Our vendors had spent months searching for a rustic plot to build their dream home. Then, an hour into a walk, the husband's back gave way. The nearest paved road out led up into Casares Pueblo, and there, in the window of a historic village house, was a phone number they recognised.

"He never told us there was property for sale in the village!"
"Well, maybe because we didn't ask him."

The next morning, the plot search was on hold.

I don't mind admitting it, this one has got under my skin.

I love design, and I love houses in equal measure, and every so often a property comes along where the two meet perfectly. This house in Casares village is that property.
