If you use Idealista to keep track of your property’s value, you may notice that the estimate has changed.

That’s because Idealista has updated its valuation model and is now using completed property sale prices recorded by Spanish notaries.

It’s a welcome improvement and should make online estimates more accurate than before.

But an online estimate is still just that… an estimate.

It can’t assess the quality of a renovation, the view from your terrace, natural light, privacy, the condition of your home or the difference between two streets in the same urbanisation.

Those are the details that buyers pay for.
