Thinking about buying a property in Spain? 🇪🇸
Here are the 3 main taxes & costs every buyer should know:

1️⃣ ITP (Transfer Tax) – applies when buying a resale property. Usually 7–10% of the purchase price (depends on the region).

2️⃣ IVA (VAT) – applies when buying a new build. Normally 10% + 1,5% stamp duty.

3️⃣ Notary, Registry & Legal Fees – around 1–2% of the purchase price.

✨ Practical tip: Always calculate an extra 10–12% on top of the property price to cover taxes and costs. That way, there are no surprises when you fall in love with your dream home.
