BIG NEWS for the Vega Baja Region!

Yes, your eyes are not deceiving you—those brand-new buses are here!

On June 1, 2026, the Generalitat Valenciana officially launched a massive new regional bus network for the Vega Baja comarca (under contract CE-710), completely overhauling and upgrading regional travel.

Because Avanza operates this new concession (running via local subsidiaries like Autocares Costa Azul), their newly branded buses are now entering towns that historically had very minimal or indirect transit options.

📍 What This Means for Bigastro, Benejúzar, Jacarilla, and Orihuela.

These municipalities are officially integrated into this newly launched system!

The massive overhaul includes 14 completely restructured routes specifically designed to link smaller towns directly to neighboring areas and regional hubs.

Here is what residents can look forward to:Direct Local Connections: Enjoy seamless, direct travel linking Bigastro, Benejúzar, Jacarilla, and Orihuela together like never before.

Better Regional Links: Connect directly to Alicante, Elche, Torrevieja, and the Vega Baja Hospital.
Airport Connections: Travel easily straight to the Alicante-Elche Miguel Hernández Airport.

Brand-New Fleet: Avanza is deploying updated, highly visible, modern buses.
