Hoy, 11 de septiembre, comparto esta imagen que une dos momentos históricos de Nueva York: las Torres Gemelas, símbolo de la arquitectura y la ciudad antes de aquel trágico día, y la nueva torre junto al memorial que honra la memoria de quienes se perdieron.

Tuve la fortuna —y también la dureza— de vivir en Nueva York aquel año. Estar allí en primera persona me marcó profundamente. Aquel acontecimiento cambió mi forma de ver la vida, y aún hoy guardo esa experiencia como una enseñanza vital.

Nueva York quedó grabada en mi corazón, es mi segunda casa. Siempre vuelvo cada vez que tengo ocasión, y espero poder regresar muy pronto.

La arquitectura, como la vida, nos enseña a reconstruir, a crear belleza incluso después de la pérdida.

Today, September 11th, I share this image that unites two historical moments of New York: the Twin Towers, a symbol of architecture and the city before that tragic day, and the new tower rising beside the memorial that honors those who were lost.

I had the fortune —and the hardship— of living in New York that year. Being there in person left a deep mark on me. That event changed the way I see life, and even today, I carry that experience as a life lesson.

New York remains in my heart, my second home. I return whenever I can, and I truly hope to go back again soon.

Ya llevo unos días de vuelta en Madrid 🌆, después de disfrutar de unos días en familia en el norte de España 🌊, donde el tiempo parece detenerse y cada momento tiene su belleza.

Comienza un nuevo curso lleno de ilusión y ganas de avanzar, tanto en lo personal como en lo profesional.

Vuelvo con energía para seguir desarrollando nuestros proyectos de viviendas, donde la arquitectura no es solo estética, sino un modo de vida que inspira y transforma espacios.

A lo largo de este curso, iré compartiendo los avances en nuestros flipping house y promociones en alquiler, con la misma pasión por crear lugares donde vivir bien y disfrutar de la vida ✨.

I’ve been back in Madrid for a few days 🌆, after enjoying some family time in the north of Spain 🌊, where time seems to slow down and every moment has its own beauty.

A new season begins, full of excitement and motivation, both personally and professionally.

A veces la vida nos presenta caminos que parecen casi imposibles de recorrer. El sueño se siente lejano, la meta inalcanzable. Y sin embargo, la esperanza nunca es en vano. Con fe, paciencia y valentía, aquello que parecía inalcanzable puede llegar a nosotros, tal vez no de la forma que imaginamos, pero sí de un modo aún más bello. Los sueños perseguidos con el corazón tienen una forma misteriosa de hacerse realidad.

Una casa con alma no se mide por sus paredes, sino por las personas que le dan vida.
Este proyecto comenzó con mis padres, que siguen juntos después de más de 50 años de matrimonio. Su ejemplo ha dado forma a un hogar que hoy reúne a hermanos, hijos y nietos.
¿Hay algo más bonito que disfrutar de una casa así, llena de historia, amor y vida?

A house with soul is not defined by its walls, but by the people who bring it to life.
This project started with my parents, still together after more than 50 years of marriage. Their example shaped a home that today gathers siblings, children, and grandchildren.
Is there anything more beautiful than enjoying a house like this, full of history, love, and life?

A veces los lugares también tienen memoria. Este porche ha sido testigo de charlas largas, silencios compartidos y algún que otro atardecer que parecía inventado. Me gusta pensar que la belleza, cuando es honesta, no necesita gritar. Simplemente está.

Sometimes places remember. This porch has seen long talks, shared silences, and sunsets that felt unreal. I like to believe beauty doesn’t need to shout when it’s honest — it just is.

Hay noches que se sienten más largas.
Y uno duda si de verdad llegará el amanecer.
Pero incluso en la oscuridad, si te detienes, hay belleza: una luz tenue, un silencio que calma, una estrella que insiste.
Siempre hay algo dentro que empuja, que cree, incluso cuando todo parece quieto.
Y esta noche, mientras pensaba en eso, me acordé de algo que siempre me dice mi padre:
“Todo lo que pasa, conviene.”
Y así, sin ruido, sin avisar…
hoy ha vuelto a salir el sol. 🌤️

Esta es la ampliación de mi casa.

La diseñé yo mismo, desde el primer trazo hasta el último detalle. No solo por el placer de construir algo bello, sino con una intención muy concreta: llenarla.

No de muebles ni de cosas.
Sino de vida.

De charlas en la cocina. De niños corriendo por el pasillo. De música sonando en un salón con las ventanas abiertas.

Y de noches frente a la chimenea, sin prisa, donde todo parece detenerse.

De una familia que se elige cada día, con ilusión.

Este proyecto no es solo arquitectura. Es una declaración de intenciones.

Y ojalá, algún día, pueda cumplir ese sueño por completo.

I designed it myself, from the very first sketch to the last detail.
Not just for the pleasure of building something beautiful,
but with a clear intention: to fill it.

Not with furniture or things.
But with life.

With long talks in the kitchen.
With kids running down the hallway.
With music playing in a living room full of light.

And with slow nights by the fireplace, where time seems to pause.

With a family that chooses each other every single day—with joy.

This project isn’t just architecture.
It’s a declaration of intent.
