A few days of our intro to Switzerland, and I met this cute guy named Kevin here! Lugano is a sweet little town but oh my the miles and the steps we climbed!
We enjoyed scenic train and boat rides to Lucerne, also a very pretty city, along with a day trip up to Mt. Pilatus. Just getting started.

Camino Day 33. This was our last long day, 18 miles. Tomorrow we will Skip-to-My-Lou into Santiago. Relatively speaking. Today just involved more of the same ol’ beautiful green forests of varying trees, farmland and some city streets - and oh yes, churches!

Camino Day 29. A beautiful walk all day in the green, green rolling hills of Galicia to Sarria.
Sadly, this will be the beginning of the busiest portion of the Camino Frances as many pilgrims start their journey here to meet the 100 kilometer requirement for their Compostela.

Camino Day 28. Yesterday’s rest day was truly that. We usually check out the town we are in and put on some miles that way, but no town = no walking = REST.
Today we had our first full day in Galicia and with some ups and downs we saw a lot of GREEN panoramic scenes and walked through many farms.

Camino Day 22. Not the best of days, hence fewer photos. Rained 1/2 the day, and most of the walk was either the outskirts of Leon ☹️ or along the busy roadway. But tomorrow is another day.
More storks, of course. I recall in Portugal they all nest in power line towers. Here in Spain, they must be religious. Never a cathedral without storks!

Camino Day 19. We reached our 1/2 way point today! More Matera, more wheat, more cathedrals. And no, I’m not getting bored of any of it!

Camino Day 14. Early start to Hornillos to beat the rain. It was more or less successful, we got some very light showers and got in before it came down. Stopped in a small old church - who knew we would receive prayer blessings from the Nun there? ❤️
