Hundreds and hundreds of flamingo chickens! One more year, the flamingos have reproduced successfully in the natural park of the lagoons of La Mata and Torrevieja. They do it for the fourth consecutive time in the central speck of the Torrevieja lagoon.

In that area, they have found a quiet and safe place for four years with nearby places to feed and care for their young.

We share with you this compilation of videos that Roberto Pastor has given us, who has been following this process since its inception and we thank him for sharing these beautiful images with us.

¡Cientos y cientos de pollos de flamenco! Un año más, los flamencos se han reproducido con éxito en el parque natural de las lagunas de La Mata y Torrevieja. Lo hacen por cuarta vez consecutiva en la mota central de la laguna de Torrevieja.

En esa zona encuentran desde hace ya cuatro años un lugar tranquilo y seguro con lugares cercanos donde alimentarse y cuidar de sus crías.

The night of San Juan 2023, will be celebrated in Torrevieja with the traditional bonfires on the beach.

On the eve of the night of San Juan, hundreds of people gather on the beaches of Torrevieja to celebrate a purifying ritual that consists of lighting a bonfire in the sand of Torrevieja beach and jumping over it, in order to get rid of everything that bad thing that has happened to us during the year.

Subsequently, the ceremony ends by introducing the feet into the water for a short time to receive all the force of the sea.

On the night of Friday, June 23, at 11:30 p.m., a fireworks display is normally shot accompanied by music (pyromusical show) from the natural pools of Paseo Juan Aparicio in Torrevieja.

When is the night of San Juan in Torrevieja?
The night of San Juan, is celebrated every year on the night of June 23, that is, on the eve of June 24, the day of San Juan.

La noche de San Juan 2023, se celebrará en Torrevieja con las tradicionales hogueras en la playa.

En la víspera de la noche de San Juan, cientos de personas se reúnen en las playas de Torrevieja para celebrar un ritual purificador que consiste en encender una hoguera en la arena de la playa de Torrevieja y saltar sobre ella, para así desprenderse de todo lo malo que nos ha ocurrido durante el año.

Posteriormente, finaliza la ceremonia introduciendo los pies en el agua durante un corto tiempo para recibir toda la fuerza del mar.

En la noche del Viernes 23 de Junio, a las 23:30h, normalmente se dispara de un castillo de fuegos artificiales acompañado de música (espectáculo piromusical) desde las piscinas naturales del paseo Juan Aparicio de Torrevieja.

¿Cuándo es la noche de San Juan en Torrevieja?
La noche de San Juan, se celebra todos los años en la noche del 23 de Junio, es decir, en la víspera del día 24 de Junio, día de San Juan.

El acceso a las playas de Torrevieja, estará controlado por los cuerpos de seguridad, para impedir el uso de maderas que pueden dejar residuos peligrosos en la arena.
