IT’S A DOG’S LIFE!
One thing we do a lot of here, and all those who live in the ‘campo’ will agree, is rescue dogs!! And many of us own dogs that we have chosen from the local and wonderful dog charity and rescue centres we are fortunate enough to have here. We are definitely, on the whole, dog lovers, and what better place to have a furry friend, but in the divine outdoors of Southern Spain.
Some people also struggle to train and control their dogs, and training, doggie hotels and doggie events can be fun, and also potentially big business.
One of the Spanish training centres in our area, just above Benajarafe is such a place. The dogs can stay over while owners are away, or attend training sessions, specialising in difficult behaviour in particular.
Unfortunately the owner is not well and is having to sell up. The place is too much for him and needs a lot of TLC to transform it, and yet here is such a wonderful opportunity for anyone who loves dogs enough to want to spend all day doing what gives them joy: rescuing, looking after, training and caring for dogs. This centre, now for sale, includes a 2 bedroom home with its own garden and pool, kennels for 26+ dogs, a training area, even with a pool for the dogs to train in, and an exhibition area for competitions and events with a covered watching area and guest WC. It has two large barns which could be for indoor activities for the dogs on bad weather days or any other activities, or could even potentially be converted into accommodation for humans!
The complex has a zoological licence, not an easy thing to get. It needs some work, but could be a magnificent place for that special dog lover to immerse themselves into what they truly love.
