Today is 9 October, Valencian Community Day. 🟡🔴

It commemorates King James I's entry into Valencia in 1238, the date regarded as the birth of the Kingdom of Valencia. It's a day of civic processions, senyeres (the Valencian flag) hanging from balconies, and family get-togethers.

It's also the feast of Sant Dionís, Valencia's own Valentine's Day. Tradition says you give your partner a "mocadorà": marzipan fruits and vegetables wrapped in a silk handkerchief. It's a sweet gesture passed down through generations, and these days it fills the windows of every pastry shop in town.

Ours is already on the table. Bon 9 d'Octubre!

Before the flooring, the paint or the furniture arrive, there's a phase of the building that nobody photographs... but that you notice every single day you live in it.

In this facade cross-section you can see what's normally hidden behind the brick and the render: the window frame with its expansive perimeter joint, the double glazing with solar control, the rock wool thermal insulation layer, and the air cavity that separates inside from outside.

It's the difference between a house that "looks good" and a home that feels good: less street noise, a stable temperature all year round, and lower energy consumption.
