If you love food, then you will enjoy the fresh produce, their colour and flavour, and if you value richness, variety and quality in the kitchen, then the Central Market in Valencia is a paradise you cannot miss out on. It is an essential place to visit in the city, with an enormous collection of modernist architecture containing fresh produce from the Valencia orchard and all the flavour and aromas from the Mediterranean.
While you’re there, don’t forget to look up. The building’s ornate design was the conception of Alejandro Soler and Francesc Guárdia. This building is one of the main works of the Valencian Art Nouveau. .
And keep in mind that this place is usually open from 07:30 am til 02:00 or 03:00 pm. Better go to the market in the morning, because it will definitely be open then... 😅

Chulilla may not be as popular as other cities in Spain, but don’t let that fool you. Chulilla is a smaller but beautiful upcoming tourist destination that is worth a visit. You will be surprised by some of the unique things to do and places you can explore at this hidden destination.

𝙲𝚒𝚝𝚢 𝚘𝚏 𝙰𝚛𝚝𝚜 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚂𝚌𝚒𝚎𝚗𝚌𝚎𝚜 𝚒𝚗 𝚖𝚘𝚟𝚒𝚎𝚜 🎥

The futuristic landscape is perfect for the big screen. A Doctor Who episode was filmed here and the complex was also featured in the George Clooney film Tomorrowland.
Also parts of the musical number "Style" from the 2007 Indian film Sivaji were shot at the City of Arts and Sciences. Portions of the area were featured in the 2013 racing game Gran Turismo 6 as a photo location. It is appearing in the second episode of the tenth series, "Smile".The third season of the HBO series Westworld was shot here as well. 🍿

So, you went down south from Valencia for your daytrip. You already climbed Peñón de Ifach, had some your breakfast / lunch and took all the photos you could possibly think of.

What's next?

Well, next stop naturally is Altea where you can go for a relaxed stroll in the Promenade and eventually in the centre of the city.

Jardín de Monforte 🍃

This probably is not one of the most popular gardens in Valencia, but it is just so much worth the visit.

While not occupying a large area it is still packed with goodies. Get some rest in the shade of blossoming flowers, walk by the ponds filled with fishes and eventually go up a small hill. All this in such a small territory.

If you enjoy plants and silence, this is definitely a place for you. What is your favourite garden in Valencia?

Are your relatives coming to visit you in Valencia?! This is a perfect spot for a day trip… Get to see the beautiful coast of Northern Costa Blanca and do some climbing while taking that perfect Instagram shot on the edge 310m above sea level.

This is our number 1 place to take our friends who haven't been to Valencian Community.

Just don't forget to take plenty of water with you.

𝘌𝘭 𝘊𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘰 𝘥𝘦 𝘚𝘦𝘳𝘳𝘢 ⚔️

Another place to visit in the nature park of Sierra Calderona is Serra castle ruins. Just right outside the city of Valencia these ruins are situated on a mountaintop.

To get to the castle you still will have to do some hiking, but it is well worth it!

One of the best places to enjoy palm trees on the beach is right on the border of Malvarossa and Patacona beaches.

This oasis like little place offers all the things - sea, sand, grass and palm trees.

Take a book, a blanket and enjoy a Sunday afternoon lying down in the shade of the palm trees.

So, what is a “churro”?! A churro is a fried-dough pastry—predominantly choux—based snack.

You can definitely try “churros” for yourself right in the Plaza de la Reina.

Apparently getting to higher ground to eat some breakfast is a thing… But seriously, this one is one of the most impressive places in the Valencian Community.

Here you can combine some exercise by just getting to the top with one of the Coolest views in Costa Blanca. And by the way, eventually you can do even light running to the top, then back down and repeat this for several times.

Trust us, we are such slow climbers that we had seen this with our own eyes. 😃

Saying “Hi!” from El Garbi from the time when we were visiting this park for the first time. If is unbelievable how time flies and then we even could not imagine that we would move to live in Valencia…

𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘷𝘪𝘦𝘸 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘜𝘮𝘣𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘭𝘦 🎞️

This definitely is one of the most recognizable sceneries in Valencia. This is just the perfect starting point for casual stroll through parks of Turia riverbed.

And while the City of Arts and Sciences is usually full of visitors (not to say tourists 😅), you can easily enjoy picnic style sitting with much less people just in the adjacent green area on the other side of Hemispheric.
