(Below in English) Kaupungin ajama Opastinsilta 1 ja 2 asemakaavaehdotus on ensimmäinen isomman alueen kaava, jossa käytännössä päätetään mitä periaatteita Itä- ja Länsi-Pasilan kaavamuutoksissa noudatetaan tulevaisuudessa. Nyt tehty ehdotus muuttaa radikaalisti Itä-Pasilan rakentamisesta asti noudatettuja periaatteita alueen luonteesta ja elämisen laadusta.
Nyt olisi tärkeintä mahdollisimman monen lähettää kommenttinsa kirjallisesti kaupungille viimeistään to 13.10.2022 klo. 16 mennessä:

The proposed changes at Opastinsilta 1 and 2, across the Topparikuja street from our building, would be detrimental to the historic nature of East Pasila as well as to the quality of life of residents in the neighbourhood. The functionalist, highly mixed-use megastructure of East Pasila has been well preserved to date but this proposal threatens it with the destruction of 3 buildings and the construction of 6 new buildings, twice as high as those that they would replace, up to 18 floors. Additionally, the proposed new buildings are almost entirely single-use residential, in stark contrast to the mixed-use design principals of East Pasila and the buildings that they would be replacing.
Now it is critical that you write to the city to voice your disapproval of the proposed changes! You can write in English! Anyone who appreciates the unique architectural value of our neighbourhood and of our building should write! You need only write a few sentences.
