Le Bristol - Beaulieu sur Mer Former Bristol Hotel, the finest Belle Epoque building on the Cote D'azur. Situated next to the coast in the Casino district of Beaulieu sur mer.

Construction work started on the Hotel Bristol in 1897. It took two years to realise the three hundred bedrooms in this majestic hotel. The inaugural season (1898) was prestigious in the extreme; among the guests were the Prince of Wales, the Duchess of Oldenburg, Sir Thomas Lipton, the Duchess of Devonshire and George Hugo - to name but a few. In 1904, the Bristol's dinning room, today known as "

La Rotonde", was inaugurated by King Edward VII. During the night of March 23, 1911, a terrible fire spread through the Hotel; only the roof, in wood was not rebuilt.
