G’day and welcome to ‘La Retraite des Vétérans’ which means ‘The Veterans Retreat’ in French which is located in the little village of Bousseraucourt, Haute-Saône Department of the Grand East Region of France. In December 2020 an Australian Military Veteran bought the house to enable you to experience and share a little corner of the French country side. The cottage provides you with the quietness
of the French Country side of the Grand East with three bedrooms, two on the 1st floor with a master bedroom and a spare room & a WC. Ground floor has the kitchen/dinning room with a wood fired oven, washing machine & dishwasher and a Belfast basin and a dining table large enough to seat 8 people comfortable or 12 in a squeeze. The lounge room has a wood burner for those chilly days, with enough seating for six as well as a digital TV & Wifi & Netflix ready to go and to top it off there there is a downstairs toilet. Located in the secluded walled garden out the back there is a Webber BBQ for you to cook away on a great day and an outside table and chairs for you to have a wine or dinner looking out over the French Country side. The cottage is located in the small village of Bousseraucourt where approx. 50 people reside so there is no hassle and bustle. We are 3 hours South East of Paris, 90 minutes South West from Strasbourg on the Rhine, 90 minutes West of the Voges Mountains (Part of the WW1 Western Front) for ski & hiking trails, 2hours South from Luxembourg and Verdun as well and 2hours North West of Zurich and the Swiss Alps.
