1250m is the starting point of the ski lift that allows skiers to join the south side of the ski area of La Plagne, Paradiski (alt. 2000m to 3000m) in less than 10 minutes; skiers who are based in Champagny-en-Vanoise have access to some of the best ski slopes in the Savoie. La Plagne/Les Arcs/Peisey Vallandry or you could take a short 30 minute drive to Courchevel and ski the 3 valleys. All levels of skiers are catered for with runs to suit everyone. The resort has a snow park for those whose idea of fun extends to "grinding the rails" and other snowboarding style acrobatics! SUMMER
The village is surrounded by the registered ' VANOISE NATIONAL PARK OF NATURAL BEAUTY the countryside which bursts into colour in summertime, with the song of the mountain birds and the fragrance of the Alpine flowers provides an idyllic setting. It's a lovely place to spend the summer with the ski-lift open for walkers, climbers and mountain bikers, providing access up to 3850m, with 500km of sign posted paths, directly accessible from the door of the apartment. Sporty types will finds as much to do in summer as in winter, with possibilities including swimming outdoor pool, tennis, fishing, walking, cycling, horse-trekking and white water rafting. Those liking the slower pace can relax next to the open air swimming pool which is a short walk away from the apartment nearer the bottom of the village or swim in the mountain water lake in Bozel which is less than a 10minute drive by car. Annecy Lake is about an hour away and is beautiful here you can go on boat trips, hire Kayaks or relax on the beach. Five kilometres higher up (1450m) is the hidden treasure of Le Vallon de Champagny le Haut. A classified site of natural beauty, le vallon lies on the edges of the Vanoise national Park. This is the place for nordic skiing with unparallelled opportunities for cross-country skiing, sledding, snow shoeing, walking, and ice-climbing in the most stunning of environments.
