Apéro Brittany style 🦪

The freshest oysters from the bay of Mont Saint Michel accompanied by a cold glass of dry white wine.

Quoi de mieux?
(What could be better?)

This is from a restaurant called Bouchot just 15 minutes walk from Chez Maurice 🥰

It’s the little things 🥰

We want your experience Chez Maurice to be perfect from start to finish.

That’s why we include a little welcome package of regional specialities for each guest to enjoy.

Pictured is some artisanal cider and delicious butter biscuits all locally made in Brittany 😋

Just look at this stunning view from our master bedroom window.

During the summer months the purple tree you can see is filled with butterflies 🦋

A gentle wake up 🥰

The beautiful ‘Normandy’ bedroom 🥰

We called it ´Normandy’ because you have a sea view of the Normandy coastline from the window.

You can also hear the sea as you fall asleep 🌊

The photos go backwards - the finished product leading towards its original state when we bought the house.

Let us know what you think!

Drum roll please 🥁

So excited to share with you the newly renovated Chez Maurice!

Our vision was to combine French country living with all the style and comfort of a modern home.

Did we succeed?!

03/07/2023

We did it 👏

After months and months of hard work we are so excited to announce chez Maurice is now officially ready to welcome guests.

A few weeks ago it felt like we were on an episode of DIY 🆘 but we have pulled it off and are so proud of the end result.

We want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has helped make our dream home in France a reality:

🍷Joanne Race - top wine drinker and motivational speaker

🛠️John Race - best tiler, joiner and carpet fitter you’ll find

🎨Marie-anne Leuillier - amazing painter, cleaner and organiser

💡Francis Leuillier - the god of electricity

👷‍♂️Dave Winch - the best builder in France Petites Rénovations

We are so grateful to you all for the help you gave us

Stay tuned for the big reveal of our renovation tomorrow on Instagram .fr
