"My wife and I loved our stay at this extremely comfortable and clean home, which had excellent access to the village restaurants and bar. The owners have very recently updated a charming old rock-walled home, and did a great job of making it modern and functional, without detracting from the ambiance of the original house. It's very roomy, with three good sized bedrooms, including a plush master bedroom, and two large balconies, one on each floor, with a cool winding staircase.. The private parking space is ample and gated, and it includes a covered outdoor dining area and gas grill, and this adds to the sense of privacy and quiet. Although there is no air conditioning, it really isn't necessary, or I'm sure it would have been part of the remodel. We were there on a day that was 95-degrees fahrenheit, and it was still pleasant inside. The restaurant that is only a few feet from the home is very good, and very reasonably priced, and the bar a block away had great live music on one of the nights we were there. We haven't stayed in many villages, but this gave us a very favorable opinion of village life, which is slower, friendlier, and quieter than even most small towns. There are many excursions that are easy to drive to. Our hosts were very helpful and accomodating, and we will always remember our happy days in Connaux!"
