New info on touring .... cheers to Toffa !
Regulations in force relating to ski area access: This is all about safety and there’s been some lucky escapes with skiers triggering avalanches on Suisses and Belges at the weekend.
1️⃣ No access to the ski area (Alpine or Nordic) to the public from 09:00 to 16:30 until Fri 18 Dec. Exceptions are ski area staff, municipal workers, sports club staff preparing stade pistes, instructors, rescue crew and guides while they are working or training (and of course at their own risk of danger of piste prep, hazards, avalanche etc).
2️⃣ Due to piste grooming work in the evening there is no access to the ski area from 16:30 to 09:00 until Fri 18 Dec except for authorised grooming staff.
3️⃣ When the PIDA (avalanche control work) is implemented, access to the Alpine ski area is prohibited to all except staff on avalanche safety/control work.
⏺ On Wed 16 Dec, the Safety Committee will meet to rule on which groomed, prepared and secured pistes will be open from Sat 19 Dec.
