Fancy exploring a little further? 🗺

One of our recommendations for a day out from the chalet is the Val d’Abondance - about a 40 minute scenic drive from Morzine!

It’s a chance to see a different side of the French Alps - quieter mountain villages, local farms, beautiful valleys and, of course, plenty of good food.

Take a wander through Abondance, try the famous local cheese, stop for lunch in one of the villages and, if the weather is good, head up to Lac des Plagnes for a walk and some spectacular views.

📍 Pleney Gondola - head up from Morzine for panoramic mountain views and access to a range of hiking routes.

📍 Super Morzine Gondola - cross into the higher mountain area and explore trails around Super Morzine and the Zore ridges.

📍 Nyon Cable Car - reach higher ground for spectacular views and mountain walks.

One of our favourite things about this time of year is being able to combine an easy lift ride with a full day of exploring - without needing to tackle the entire ascent on foot.

A very different way to spend a Sunday in Morzine…👀 
We swapped the chalet for the start line and took on the Triathlon Montriond–Morzine–Avoriaz with .aboveordinary  
What a brilliant event - exceptionally well organised, amazing atmosphere and incredible support all the way around the course 🙌 
We’re already proud to call Morzine home, but days like this make us love it even more🏔️
