🥳🎅NEW WINTER OPENING FOR LE PIGEONNIER GITE 🥳🎅

What an amazing summer it has been (so far!) Guests are still in residence in both gites, and more will be following.

Our usual opening for the gites is 1st May - 31st October. We are this coming winter season opening our gite Le Pigeonnier for rentals.

New heating was fitted earlier this year so it now offers itself as a perfect escape for a long weekend stay in the cooler months. Property hunters, w**e adventures, wedding plans ahead? Whatever the reason.

Le Pige is a self contained separate residence from the main farmhouse. Lots of parking right outside, private entrance and terrace, fully self catering with everything you would need for a very comfortable stay. You can come and go as you please.

Inside Le Pige is still the spacious ground floor kitchen / diner. Mid floor along with the shower and WC is a cosy lounge with a large daybed, Smart TV with freesat and the same views across to the vineyards. Top floor is the spacious master bedroom with superking bed and that hero AC unit that has made our summer guests so comfortable, it reverses to be an efficient heat source for the winter.

Differences will be the pool area and games area will be closed but this will reflect in the nightly rates.

We are 25 minutes to Bergerac. 1hr30 to Bordeaux, both airports receiving flights from across Europe during the winter, we are easy to get too. Or you can bring yourself, I quite enjoy the drive. :-)

Having Monday summer blues? Considering a little trip somewhere warm and peaceful for late summer? Why not come and see us?

September is beautiful in the Dordogne. The thumping heat of peak summer has eased but hot sunshiny days are still common place but cooler nights are a welcome reprive.

Quieter out and about too as the schools will be back so, what better time is there for a bit of adult only relaxation. Oh and eating amazing local produce & w**e tasting!

Fully equipped self catering accommodations, rural & very peaceful, but close to amenities, restaurants, bars, shops and only 25mins to Bergerac Airport which takes arrivals from lots of U.K. & European airports.
Bordeaux Merignac airport is also an easy transfer away from us.

Le Chai makeover is taking shape. The weather has enabled us to start shunting furniture about. We still have the option to have a 3 bed space as before but this is the new 2 bed layout. Open plan kitchen space with long 4 seat island. To follow will be pics of the new snug with the sofa and 2 arm chairs for those quieter moments. (TV & DVD also included, just in case).

So, 2 king size double bedrooms, 2 baths, 2 wc's, private terrace with gas BBQ and furniture, large open plan kitchen/dining with smart tv, superfast wifi in every room, english freesat, bluetooth music, fully equipped, outdoor relaxation spaces, 11x5m heated pool and perfect peace and traquility. SPRING HAS SPRUNG!!! SUMMER 2026 DEALS NOW AVAILABLE!

20 in the shade today, sun out, grass has had a cut (well some of it) new veg patch dug in and it feels amazing to be out in the grounds again after and wet and windy winter.

Lots to do but lots to tell too! Big news!!

AIR CONDITIONING IS IN LE PIGEONNIER!!! Yup, after 5 seasons and many guests loving Le Pigeonnier gite we arrived at a solution we were happy with aesthetically. Being a tower, Le Pige could be a challenge temperature wise in the really hi heat days in its top floor, but not anymore! Professionally plumbed in AC is now in the beautful master bedroom to make those hot summer nights a little easier. Pricing is still as of 2025 and we have some dates still between March and Nov 30th. Message me for details. :-) Perfect for a couple looking for peace and tranquility.

Our other beautiful gite Le Chai is having a change too.

While we could host upto 11 guests at any one time at Le Peynau, current bookings aside, we are concentrating filling our remaining weeks with a maximum of 6 adult guests. Why Adults? 2 gites and very few other places that offer this as a usp. Perfect for peace and a slow pace, Le Chai will offer 2 king size double rooms and 2 baths / WC's for 2 - 4 adults sharing.

The 3rd bed is now a lounge and the open plan kitchen diner / lounge has benefitted from the addition of a large island with seating for 4, so more prep and eating space, more social meeting point, the room still retains comfy seating, wifi, smart tv and characterful log burner, this space opens onto your private terrace and is going to be the perfect set up for your holiday!

Both our gites are self catering & fully equipped incl indoor and pool towels, soaps and shampoo's. Just bring you, your personal effects and stock your fridge! You are set to go for a fantastic vacation!
