The Gorges du Verdon were cut by the Verdon river through limestone over millions of years. The colour comes from glacial rock flour and mineral content in the water. ⏳🔬
The Route des Crêtes runs along the rim with a series of viewpoints, and the Sentier Blanc-Martel descends into the gorge through tunnels cut for a hydro survey. 🥾✨
