As I read it, there is now no requirement for any tests before travelling to France, provided you are double vaccinated. You do not have to self-isolate. You have to complete and print out a Passenger Locator Form (or whatever it is called in French).

For returning from France, you need a COVID test no longer than 3 days before you enter the UK. The standard charge for this, anywhere in France, is €55. (I had my test done in Cap d'Agde at BIOMED34.) You need to complete another Passenger Locator Form (PLF) online and print it out. There is no need to self-isolate in the UK. However, you must do a PCR test on Day 2 and give details of booking this on the PLF.

If you are driving, you no longer need a "Green Card" for your car insurance.

Masks are needed in enclosed areas and a social distance has to be respected.

For the clubs, you need an antigen pass - which you can get at Port Nature 5 daily after 21.00 hrs. I believe this is free.

Cap d'Agde is not in one of the 16 regions which are in lockdown again. Restaurants and bars are starting to get ready for starting the season at the beginning of June. Stay safe and see you soon!

On 15 June France has opened her borders for nationals of all European Union countries, including the UK. However, the governments of the UK, Norway, Finland, Sweden and Denmark are currently advising all their nationals against all foreign travel. (This means in practice only that there is no cover from travel insurance, but the EHIC card is valid and your car insurance is not affected either.)

I travelled on 15 June by P&O Ferries from Dover. Although I had completed the form confirming that I did not have any Covid 19 nobody asked for it. (The ferry companies currently operate only a restricted service.)

At the moment there is only a voluntary quarantine requirement for France. However Brits returning home have to quarantine themselves for 14 days. The establishment of "air corridors" seems to be imminent, and I expect that Brits returning from France will then not have to undergo any quarantine. (I intend to stay in Cap d'Agde until such time!)

Cap d'Agde is getting busier every day, especially all parts of the beach. The shops are open, including bars and musical bars like the 1664 in Heliopolis and the Maxime at Port Ambonne. However, some swimming pools are closed at the moment, and the nightclubs are not due to open until September. The attached picture shows the beach yesterday.

In 2016 a 5-year plan for the development of Cap d'Agde was created. This included the huge Casino complex at the entrance, completed last year.
As the first part of the plan in the Naturist Village, the pedestrianisation of the Avenue de la Joliette (between Port Ambonne and the Marina) was completed in June this year. This leaves quite a bit to do in the remaining year of the plan, hopefully including a promenade along the beach ...
