Boom!

The last few weeks has been a push and a bit trying at times dealing with open roads while working, storms, heat waves, big distances between tasks but I got it done and to add to all of that a few nights sleeping in a tent! All the clients are happy which makes it all worthwhile so now for a few days rest.

I love my job, but yesterday was a sad day. I had to fell this magnificent 238 year old oak. It’s was ready to fall onto a main power line. Branches could have been removed to avoid it falling onto the lines however it had been riddled with termites & Capricorn beetles and almost all the branches above the main trunk were dead.

I bet is was a beauty in its day.
