HIGHLY RECOMMEND EXPAT SERVICES FRANCE!!

I relocated to Toulouse, France from the US and they made the process so easy.
I was able to view apartments and secure housing from abroad that met all my criteria.
The entire team was so helpful with all my questions through the whole process.
My dedicated consultant in Toulouse made sure electricity and internet were either set up or in the process of being set up before I arrived.
They also helped communicate with the landlord for me with any questions about the lease.
If you are moving to France and know very little French, this is the relocation service you should use.
The most stressful part of my move was actually packing and shipping my stuff.
Once I arrived in France, everything else was taken care of.

Best money I ever spent.

I must say that Sophie and Eliza from Expat Services France are truly amazing. I honestly don't believe that any new comers to France who have yet to be able to speak French, and not knowing enough about the rental market here can be successful in renting a place. They are not just preparing documents for us, they go above and beyond to work with the agent to make our case. As I told them, the effort and time they spent for us, I felt like I underpaid them for the service. Highly recommended if you want to minimize the pain from apartment searching in France.

American retirees are choosing France, and we've become the ones people turn to for it !

Lyon has become the city we place the most American retirees in, closely followed by Paris and Toulouse.
This year alone we've also guided people into Tours, Dijon, Nantes, Rennes, Angers, Metz, Bordeaux, the Dordogne, Nice, Montpellier, Strasbourg, Lille, plus several who arrived without a fixed destination and needed help figuring out where in France actually fit their life and budget.

Two things come up in almost every conversation: finding housing, and opening a French bank account. Both are harder than people expect when you're arriving from the US.

I had to smile when one of my American clients gave me that answer.

Sometimes, the most beautiful relocation stories begin with something very simple… a walk through Lyon and a photo taken in front of our office on Quai Tilsitt 😊
A few months later, this American couple contacted Expat Services France from upstate New York with a dream: relocating to Lyon and starting a new chapter in France.

"After visiting Lyon in the fall of 2024, my wife and I began to dream of moving there. On one of our walks along Quai Tilsitt, we spotted the offices of Expat Services. The office was closed, but I took a photo of the window with all of the contact information.

Fast forwarding to this past winter, we found ourselves freezing our butts off in upstate NY and reached out to Expat Services to begin planning our relocation. Initial email exchanges led to online meetings with founder Sophie Dord whom we hired to help us find housing and to set up a French bank account. Sophie also connected us with those who could guide us through the long stay visa process.

Before arriving in Lyon, Sophie had met with us several times online and gathered information on our needs and interests. The day after our arrival, she welcomed us at her office and outlined our upcoming day of apartment hunting which included accompanying us to five apartments.
