🚴 The Tour is passing our corner of the Dordogne this year
If you're staying at La Fleurie, this is not the day to spend indoors. Pack a picnic lunch, grab a rug from the barn, and make your way to the route. Find a spot by the roadside and join thousands of spectators for one of France's most iconic events.
Our gite is available from Monday the 6th of July - Sunday the 12th of July. Stage 8 is on the 11th.
There'll be helicopters overhead, cheering crowds, cars, tv crews and an atmosphere that's hard to describe until you've experienced it for yourself.
The riders pass in seconds, but you can make a day of it.
Nearby viewing points include:
📍 Saint-Léon-sur-Vézère (12:30)
📍 Tursac (12:45)
📍 Les Eyzies (12:54)
📍 Allas (13:12)
📍 Sarlat-la-Canéda (13:26)
📍 Vitrac (13:41)
📍 Domme (13:50)
A little tip: you don't need to battle the crowds in the larger towns. Some of the best viewing spots are found in the smaller villages and along the country roads where you can simply roll out a picnic rug and enjoy the spectacle as it passes by.
🍷 And the best part? You'll still be back at La Fleurie in time for an afternoon swim and a glass of rosé by the pool.
€1500 for 7 nights.
