Wifi in the Pyrenees has always been somewhat behind. We were on a dial-up connection long after the rest of the world had moved on. The last upgrade in 2011 was light years better, but there was still room for improvement. Well this week, we upgraded the router again, and BOOM, wifi is now streaming into places it never reached before 😁 But hopefully you won't need to spend too much time on it, because you will be on holiday😎😁😀

So a shiny new, bigger supermarket opened its doors in the village today. The architecture has blended well with the old buildings and it is a wonderful new amenity to replace the much smaller general store that we've had previously. It was exciting to be one of the first through its doors having peered through the window watching them stacking shelves over this last week😃

Some of our guests have asked that we put some seating on the front terrace to enjoy the evening sun and the aperitif hour :-) We have been thinking the same for some time, so today it arrived. I haven't budged for the last hour. It is very nice sitting there looking up at the mountains :-)

This is a post for the church lovers out there. A friend and I spent a wonderful few hours in Arles sur Tech yesterday. Lunch first (when in France and all that!) followed by this wonderful old Benedictine Monastery and then an amble to the Artisan's quarter.
