Another jewel on our doorstep. Tonight I ate one of the best things I’ve ever had. Périgourdine pie, the best duck and mushroom pastry with creamy sauce ever. Well done Chateau de la Cote. Just 15 minutes drive from Villa Duroux. Well worth the visit.

It’s only mid-March but Burnie the BBQ is raring to go for another great season at Villa Duroux. Burnie is ready for Le Crunch tomorrow and Ros Bif. #

As the sun sets on another fun packed year at Villa Duroux, we just want to take this opportunity to thank all of our customers for another memorable year here in Dordogne. We are now seven years into our journey and every year we welcome back many of our visitors. You guys have become friends as well as clients and we thank you all past present and future for choosing to spend your holidays with us at Villa Duroux. We look forward to seeing you in 2026 when once again the famous Tour de France will pass close by. All the best for the holidays and the New Year. From, the Lamb family. ❤️

Villa Duroux season 2025.

We’ve had Firsts, fun, fantastic families, friends and of course Flash who was back for his third year of bromance with Enzo.
Take a look at this years gallery to get a flavour of what happened in Villa Duroux Dordogne season 2025.

Back in March Ola took her first podium of the year at Paussac-et-Saint-Vivien and followed it up with a win in the Perigueux Canal 10 km race.
Then not to be outdone by her mother Sophie only went and won the Bergerac duathlon and won her category in the Perigueux triathlon at her first attempt and at the tender age of 11.
Sienna won a hotdog and chips and was more than happy with her performance.

We installed a new fire pit and spent many a late night star gazing after some great BBQ meals, watching comets and shooting stars whilst shooting the warm breeze.

The food this year was better than ever with new restaurants opening and our old favourites still offering some great meals. Just look at those mouthwatering photos.

From the potager we managed to produce peach crumble from the garden along with fig, thyme & cream cheese sourdough open sandwiches as well as our signature lasagne dish. Then there was Aperol spritz which took the pool area by storm this year winning Villa Duroux cocktail of the year award.

We found new activities to share with our guests in Velorail and Zipline parks although I think once up the tree line will be enough for Richard who took a couple of days to get over the ordeal. We played golf with our guests as well as running regular 10 km trails and 50km cycle rides. We visited underground caves , beautiful Brantome and an end of season jaunt to Rocamadour (16000 steps) with a sweet shop fit for a medieval knight.

By September the harvest was giving us plenty of tomatoes, figs that will keep us regular until Spring and butternuts to keep us winter warm until we can see you all again next year.

We welcomed people from Austria, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland , Italy and UK in 2025 which helped our girls so much in their jeux sans frontières. Thank you all so much for coming and so much for sharing . Most of all, thank you for rebooking to do it all again next year.

What a two weeks it’s been. It’s been a Brindle party from start to finish. From campfires and shooting stars, to train tracks and kayaks . The bromance between Flash and Enzo continues whilst Rich and Del shared football stories in the Bolton Wanderers trophy room. Nikki did her best to improve the stock position of the Aperol Spritz company and produced possibly the best Lasagne outside of Bologna. The boys and girls pranked their way through the holidays and grew closer than ever before. You guys even found time for golf and fitness sessions. We can’t wait to do it all again next year.

It’s a well earned Italian night at Villa Duroux tonight. The wall has been finished and only about a year behind schedule. It’s been on the list for seven years though. So it’s a big tick on the jobs list. It’s time to sit back and enjoy an evening meal in the sunshine with a glass or two of what you like.

We still have a couple of slots available in Villa Sophie for September. Why not come and enjoy the sunshine and a wonderful place to be. You just have to love Dordogne, Montagrier, Périgueux. Périgord Inattendu

Anyone at the swimming pool today might get the feeling they are being watched. Yes , more than a million sunflowers have suddenly burst into colour at Villa Duroux. There is just one spot left for July. Why not come and enjoy the colours.

Everybody!! It’s flaming June !! Here at Villa Duroux, the cicadas are singing, the sunflowers 🌻 are just about to show their beautiful faces, the wheat crops are fields of gold and the corn is high. Dordogne is such a wonderful place, just think, you could be here, poolside enjoying everything that nature has to offer at this time of year. There are still a couple of slots available for the summer season, 1 in Villa Sienna and another in Villa Sophie, but be quick to book if you want to share in this wonderful 2025 summer season.

Simple pleasures of life at Villa Duroux. I forgot to take the ladder down from the apple tree last October. So I don’t have to carry it uphill for this season 😁😉🤫. It’s 23 degrees today , so we have the fire lit for tonight’s Burgers. Al Fresco dining for the second time this week after our Firepit porkchops.
We have just two spots available for this season in Villa Sienna. Why not come and join in with the simple pleasures.

It’s only February but Spring is in the air and this week we took a well earned rest from constructing the new bathroom in Villa Sienna and clearing the brambles to recover the stream that runs alongside our boundary. We took the short 90 minutes journey to Cognac . It’s a place which is well worth visiting as it’s got something for all the family. The kids really enjoyed the towns treasure hunt ( 5 km of walking) and the parents enjoyed the Cognac ( not brandy) tour complete with degustation of some fine Cognac. The park is a fantastic place to enjoy the wildlife and to relax with plenty of things to see and enjoy. It’s well worth the visit. Cheers Cognac ( hic)
