The mill has recently changed hands and undergone refurbishment this year including a new kitchen with range cooker, open ceilings, velux windows and a mezzanine, new bathroom, and installation of an oil-fired central heating system for the winter months. Immediately outside the mill there is a traditional stone-built wood store, the bief (water store feeding the wheel), a shady veranda for al-fresco dining (which spans the waterwheel itself) and a large brick built barbecue. To the rear there are a selection of fruit trees and grapevines bearing fruit in the summer months. Situated just a few minutes drive from the town of Montmoreau-Saint-Cybard, the mill is approached from a small lane that ends just beyond, it is therefore completely secluded and tranquil with no 'through traffic'. Driving time is around one and a half hours drive from Bordeaux airport and 30 minutes from Angouleme which is also accessible by air from the UK. Other local airports include Limoges and Bergerac, which are both around one and a half to two hours drive.
