It's the weekend 🎉 and The Carnival of Limoux (Carnaval de Limoux) is underway ! Limoux is located in the Aude department of France and the Carnival takes place for three months on the weekends between 10 January and Mardi Gras. The event is conducted in Occitan, the area's traditional language and has been celebrated in Limoux since 1604. According to a tradition that dates to the 14th century, millers were released at Mardi Gras from their dues to the Dominican priory and celebrated by walking through the streets scattering sugared almonds and flour, accompanied by minstrels. The festival is famous for its alternation of bands and pierrots.

🤩 Our Event was a Smashing Success! 🤩
Wow, Renestance's Renesting in France Seminar and 10th Anniversary Cocktail party last Thursday were successful beyond our hopes! We are still buzzing from the energy of the expert speakers, the engaged attendees, the fantastic party guests, and the gorgeousness of the Château de la Piscine - all so very inspiring!

Today in France we celebrate the 'jour du laurier' - the day of the laurel tree. Considered sacred to Apollo, god of wisdom and the arts, the laurel symbolised glory and knowledge. Laurel wreaths were placed on the heads of the winners of the Olympic Games as a symbol of victory and honour. Whatever you are celebrating today, we wish you a wonderful Sunday !
