Watching an eclipse over Paris from the city’s rooftops — it’s hard to imagine a better setting for such a rare phenomenon.

Dinner, rooftop views, and one of those moments you don’t get to experience every day.

That’s also what living in Paris is about: sometimes being in the right place, at the right time. ✨

🏛️ There’s something special about Paris in the summer.

A quiet room, someone sketching. Rooftops stretching as far as the eye can see. The riverbanks slowly coming to life as evening falls. ✨

La dolce vita, Parisian style: slowing down, observing, and enjoying every moment. 🤍

🌅 Looking for a different way to enjoy Paris this summer?

Hop aboard a boat, grab a drink, and let the Seine show you the city from a whole new perspective. 🚤🥂

Sunset over the rooftops, music in the background, the riverbanks slowly lighting up… It’s one of those moments that reminds you Paris still has plenty of surprises, even if you think you know it by heart. ✨

Whether it’s aboard the River King or another boat cruise, it’s an experience we’d recommend to anyone looking to experience Paris a little differently. 🤍

Sometimes, all it takes is a change of perspective to fall in love with Paris all over again. ❤️

Have you ever spent an evening cruising along the Seine?

🎆 Where to watch the fireworks in Paris

The Eiffel Tower fireworks will exceptionally take place tonight, Monday, July 13, at 11 PM.

From quiet Parisian streets to panoramic viewpoints and rooftops with a view, here are a few ways to enjoy the show differently ✨

🌆 TOO Hotel
One of the highest viewpoints in Paris, from the restaurant or TOO TacTac rooftop, perched 120 metres above the city.

📍 Rue Saint-Charles
A long perspective in the 15th arrondissement, offering a view of the Eiffel Tower from a more local setting.

🍸 Fuga R.
A hidden rooftop near Parc Monceau, with cocktails, sharing plates and panoramic views over the Paris rooftops.

🌿 Belvédère Willy-Ronis
A panoramic viewpoint from Parc de Belleville. Bring a blanket, a few snacks and enjoy the show from eastern Paris.

✨ Pont Alexandre III
A spectacular setting between the Seine, Les Invalides and the Eiffel Tower.

🥂 Rooftop Eylau
An elegant terrace at Canopy by Hilton Paris Trocadéro, with a close-up view of the Eiffel Tower.

🏙️ Rue Saint-Dominique
A quintessentially Parisian perspective, framed by façades, terraces and the Eiffel Tower. The best viewpoint is around Boulevard de La Tour-Maubourg.

🥢 Aqua Kyoto
A Japanese rooftop on the Champs-Élysées, with an open view towards the Eiffel Tower.

🌙 Rue des Pyrénées
A more local option in eastern Paris, with a distant view of the Eiffel Tower and a much less touristy atmosphere.

✨ Le 10e Ciel
The rooftop at Pullman Paris Tour Eiffel, offering an almost front-row view of the Iron Lady.

For rooftops, check last-minute availability directly with each venue. For free public spots, arrive early and check for any access restrictions before heading out.

COCO’s Little Guide to Staying Cool in Paris ☀️

When it gets very hot, Paris is still full of good ideas — you just have to choose the right moments and the right places.

🧘 Do your sporty activities early

Before the city really heats up, it’s the best time to move. At COCO, we start the day with yoga at Place des Vosges every Wednesday at 8:30: softer light, quieter streets, cooler air.

🥤 Take a fresh drink break

After yoga or between two outings, nothing feels better than a very cold drink. Try Café Berry, Café Kitsuné, Wild & The Moon, Juicerie, Wanna Juice or Bob’s Juice Bar near Canal Saint-Martin.

🏛️ Escape into an exhibition

A lovely way to stay cool while enjoying Parisian culture. To see at the moment: We Are Still Here at the Petit Palais, Michelangelo / Rodin at the Louvre, Lee Miller at the Musée d’Art Moderne, La mode en majesté at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, Silla at Musée Guimet, The Little Prince at Atelier des Lumières, or Splendours of the Baroque at Musée Jacquemart-André.

Just remember to check opening hours: during extreme heat, some museums and monuments may adapt their schedules or close certain rooms.

🌙 Visit exhibitions in the evening

Late openings at the Louvre, Thursday evenings at Musée d’Orsay, or other evening openings depending on the current programme.

⛪ Visit a beautiful Parisian church

Saint-Eustache, Saint-Sulpice, Saint-Roch, Saint-Germain-des-Prés or Saint-Étienne-du-Mont: cooler, quiet and full of history.

🎬 Treat yourself to a movie in a beautiful air-conditioned cinema

When the heat becomes too intense, a cinema session is a great way to take a real break in a cool and pleasant place. Try Le Grand Rex or Le Louxor.

🏊 Go for a swim

Piscine Joséphine Baker, Piscine Pontoise, Piscine de la Butte-aux-Cailles, Molitor… or the supervised summer swimming spots when they are open: Paris Plages, Bercy, Bras Marie / Pont Louis-Philippe, Bras de Grenelle, Bassin de la Villette or authorised canal areas.

🌳 Enjoy parks in the evening

During episodes of strong heat, some Parisian parks may stay open later, or even all night.

The best ice cream breaks 🍦

When Paris heats up, there is always a good reason to go looking for ice cream.

A few spots to try this summer:

🍦 Bachir — 58 rue Rambuteau
For Lebanese achta ice cream with pistachio and orange blossom, just a few steps from the Centre Pompidou.

🍦 Une Glace à Paris — 15 rue Sainte-Croix de la Bretonnerie
For more refined frozen creations, imagined by Emmanuel Ryon, Meilleur Ouvrier de France Glacier.

🍦 Pozzetto — 39 rue du Roi de Sicile
For true Italian gelato in the Marais: simple, fresh, and ultra-creamy.

🍦 Brigat Gelato — 6 rue du Pas de la Mule
For dense, smooth, very Italian gelato just a few steps from Place des Vosges.

🍦 Reÿs — 4 rue du Bourg Tibourg
For flavours that take you travelling: Thai rice, coconut milk, lemongrass, mango, ginger, cacao…

🍦 Bältis — 27 rue Saint-Antoine
For Lebanese-style ice creams, with pistachio, orange blossom, rose, and deliciously generous textures.

🍦 Fumo — 59 rue Charlot
For a more confidential address in the Marais, with very lightly sweetened and sometimes surprising flavours.

🍦 Grave — 34 rue des Gravilliers
For artisanal soft serve in a coffee shop in the 3rd arrondissement, perfect for a fresh break between two walks.

🍦 JJ Hings — 46 rue Bichat
For a change from the classic scoop: ice-cream sandwiches, floats, soft serve, and ice pops, with a very US spirit.

🍦 Café Isaka — 9 rue Thérèse
For a Japanese-inspired frozen dessert break: original, generous, and very visual.

Our tip: go in the late afternoon, when the light gets softer and Paris finally starts to breathe again.

At COCO, living in Paris is also about discovering the little places that turn an ordinary day into a summer memory.
