5 HINTS TO HAVE A NICE RENTAL IN PARIS:
-1. Always visit the apartment you are interested in. If it is not possible, have a friend or someone in Paris do it for you! If the person or business says it is not possible for you to see the inside of the property, do not proceed with the rental!
2. Ask for references or an email address from a former client of the agency or tenant of the apartment!
3. If you need to wire money to reserve the apartment, the bank information should match the agency name and the bank branch should be established in Paris!
4. The agency's staff should speak fluent English, if they do not, that means that they are not used to dealing with people from abroad. Avoid them!
5. Ask, in writing, what is included in the rent (normally: building charges, caretaker charges, water, housing tax or taxe d'habitation, should be included). Energy and Internet are normally paid by tenant in Paris!
