Yes, the in laws have decided to sell...alas! A private sale could dictate a better price. This property would make an ideal investment as a second holiday home which could be rented out. Peak season (July/ August) the property is let for £1600 (€1850 subject to exchange) per week. Other times of the year vary from £1100 to £1350 per week. Queyssac Les Vignes is famous for Vin Paille. This is the only region in France to produce Vin Paille. It is a sweet wine drunk as an aperitif or with fois gras. Today I went to see Jean Louis Roche our neighbour harvesting his red and white grapes. Visitors to La Gratade can enjoy a wine tasting with Jean Louis.

We had a burst pipe in the winter (it was -15 for about a week!!) and James had to cut a hole in the wall to access the pipe....this was the solution to patch up the hole!

I just took Fergal - a four year old boy currently staying at La Gratade with his family - for a drive on our John Deere Tractor. He drove it himself (well...steered!) and had a grin from ear to ear!

The last mosaic finally in...

We put heating into the pool this spring and as a consequence there were some gaps in the tiles that needed filling. I came up with the idea of doing mosaics and James got carried away with replacing times...before we knew it we had a monster job on our hands! It has shaped up nicely though...only one more to go....
