Busca Vida House by André Luque

Like the greenest of green ponds in the jungle sits this gorgeous pool and its pavilions. Busca Vida House by Brazilian architect André Luque sits lightly in the existing vegetation with clearly defined private and public areas contained within two white boxes whose glass walls open to allow for cross ventilation and to let in the natural light. A beautiful home, a clever design solution, stunning surrounds and a seriously sexy pool. This house was built to connect with the surrounding environment. Mainly the existing vegetation dictated the deployment of this residence. It was both the owner and the architect interest to preserve as many trees as possible, resulting in the removal of only one small tree. The wooden structure was designed with a system of two beams around the perimeter of the pavilions. In the lower beam were fixed sliding glass panels, while the upper structure supports the roof. Between these wooden beams mosquito screens are placed allowing cross ventilation to occur throughout the house, even when the glass panels are closed.
