Les Hirondelles is a classic French townhouse overlooking the river Vernazobres in the small town of St. Chinian offering modern comfort with rustic charm for 4 to 6 guests. It is available to rent year round. The house is kept in an old French style and has lots of charm. It has been lovingly renovated and furnished to a very high standard and decorated with flair and imagination by the owners. T

he house is ideally located on a quiet road just a stone's throw from the village centre where guests can buy local food and wine throughout the week. With beaches, vineyards, canals and Roman ruins all within easy reach you have everything you need for a perfect stay, whatever pace of holiday you are looking for. Popular historical centres such as Béziers, Montpellier, Narbonne and the fortified city of Carcassonne offer visitors an insight into with the local Cathar history. For some, the village market which runs twice a week, the wine tasting in the local wine cooperative and the walks along the Canal du Midi will be a real highlight for the more adventurous a day trip to Barcelona might be more suited. At the right time of year, guests can even enjoy the ski slopes of the Pyrenees. With numerous airports, a railway line from Paris to Barcelona and main car routes nearby, St Chinian is the perfect base for an extended stay in the beautiful Languedoc region. A lovely open plan kitchen/dinner occupies the ground floor with access to a fabulous courtyard terrace which catches a lot of sun and complete with BBQ, tables and chairs it is the perfect space for al fresco dining. Three further floors offer 3 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and two reception rooms. English and French TV, books, games and DVD player provide a relaxed home from home environment. In addition, free broadband WiFi internet access allows you to keep in touch while you are away.
