Next project to go in the house. 220 cm x 108cm
We are awaiting bits for the fireplace,so this is next.
First is stability issues,then it’s lots of glueing and sanding to be done…
Then it’s sand the whole thing.and wax.
Solid oak,It was made in the 1950s by the ladies grandfather as a wedding present,for her parents in La creuse,then went to Paris ,and returned to La Creuse.
We was gifted it and now is it’s time to shine again

It’s still in progress,like paint the ceiling!!
But it’s nice to see how it was when we arrived….
Only you can’t see a carpet of cluster flys!!
(I just want fire finished so I can clean and make it dust free!!)

Waiting for a delivery, so raked out the back of the fire and next it’s cleaning up …
then it’s repointing time!
Hopefully by Monday we will be building a hearth and end of next week the fire will be back in and it’s another job complete ,ready for winter night and cooking on!
After that it’s renovation of an oak unit !!
