🏰✨ BACK TO RENOVATING CHÂTEAU CHOMET… AND WHAT A MESS! 😂🔨
Bonjour Mes Amis, A few weeks ago, I mentioned that we were finally back renovating Château Chomet and that we had THREE different projects we wanted to tackle. One of those was our en-suite bathroom… but now it’s time to give you a little peek at another one! 👀
So… can you guess what room THIS is going to be? 🤔🏰
It has taken quite some time just to get to this stage, with lots of repairs and those inevitable little surprises that seem to come with renovating an old château! But I can finally start to see it all coming together, and I’m getting VERY excited about getting my hands on it. 😍
At the moment, though, it’s still firmly in Dave’s department! 😂 He’s just finishing off his jobs before he can officially hand the room over to me for the fun part…
Although judging by the absolute MESS he’s making trying to fix the ceiling, I think there may be quite a bit of cleaning to do first! 🤦🏻‍♀️😂 Dust, debris and chaos everywhere!
But we all know that sometimes things have to look a whole lot worse before they start looking better! 🔨🏰
I already have so many ideas going around in my head for this room, and I honestly cannot wait to start transforming it. There is still so much to do .. But we just Keep Going.....
But I’m not telling you what it is just yet… 😉

Bonjour Mes Amis
We have just had the most wonderful mini break celebrating our **29th anniversary**, and what a very special few days it has been. 🥂❤️
From visiting **Verona** and seeing **Juliet’s famous balcony**, made legendary by William Shakespeare’s *Romeo & Juliet*, and then it was on to the absolutely breathtaking Venice… and wow, what a beautiful and magical place! We wandered through the little streets, crossed the beautiful bridges and simply soaked up everything Venice has to offer. One of the highlights had to be experiencing a Vivaldi concert — listening to his incredible music in Venice was just unforgettable. And of course, you can’t visit Venice without a gondola ride! 28 years ago, we came to Venice for our 1st anniversary, but never went on a Gondola ride! So this time we did and it was fabulous! Gliding along the canals, taking in the beautiful buildings and seeing Venice from the water was such a special experience.
But more than all the places we visited and the things we experienced, the most precious part was simply having **time for just the two of us**.
Life has been so incredibly busy over the last few years that sometimes you forget to stop, look around and appreciate just how far you’ve come together.
This little break gave us the chance to do exactly that — to stop, reflect and appreciate the **last 29 years**, all the memories we’ve made, everything we’ve been through together and everything that is still to come.
Here’s to the next chapter, more adventures, more memories and, hopefully, a little more time to simply enjoy being together.
What an incredible break it has been, and of course I have gathered lots of inspiration and ideas to bring back to the Chateau that I can't wait to share! xx

Firstly, we want to say a huge **sorry that we haven’t been able to bring you as many updates from Château Chomet as we would have liked.** ❤️
The last 3 months have been incredibly busy behind the scenes. We’ve had to spend a lot of time **reorganising our business, keeping up with our day jobs and getting everything into place** so that we could finally turn our attention back to something we absolutely LOVE...
🏰 **Renovating Château Chomet!** 🏰
And I am **SO SUPER EXCITED** to say that we are finally back at it! 🥰
There is lots happening, lots of mess, lots of plans... and probably plenty of surprises along the way! 😂🔨
But the really exciting news is that we have **THREE MAJOR PROJECTS** that we are hoping to tackle in the run-up to Christmas! 🎄✨
I honestly cannot wait to share what we are doing with you and take you along on the journey as Château Chomet continues to come back to life, one room and one project at a time. ❤️
We’ve missed sharing our renovation adventures with you, so it feels wonderful to be able to say...

🇫🇷✨ **A Well-Earned Day Off at Château Chomet!** ✨🇫🇷

Bonjour Mes Amis!
Hope you are all having a lovely Sunday.....
After a very busy week of maintenance at Château Chomet, we finally decided it was time to put the tools down and enjoy a day off! 🏰💕
And what better way to spend it than with a little trip to a French brocante? 😍 You just never know what treasures you’re going to find!
Of course, we couldn’t come home empty-handed… even though I have plenty!😂 We found some lovely new additions for the château, including a **beautiful painting** and some gorgeous sconces for one of the news rooms plus 2 **candelabras** that we think will look right at home in the new dinning room.
And Dave found his own treasure… **a yes album!** 🎶😂
It was so nice to have a day away from the maintenance, wander around looking for hidden gems and, of course, bring a few more pieces of French history back to Château Chomet.
Now we just need to finish the rooms to put them in!😂🏰

Bonjour Mes Amis!
🎬🏰✨ What a month it’s been!
The last few weeks have been a whirlwind of filming for the brand-new series of Chateau DIY, and there’s been so much happening behind the scenes. From taking the first exciting steps in renovating one of our gîtes to beginning work on one of the château’s main rooms, every day has brought new challenges, big achievements, and plenty of magical transformations.
It hasn’t always been easy — the days have been long, the to-do lists even longer — but seeing these spaces come to life has made every moment worthwhile. And of course, there’s been no shortage of laughter along the way!
Filming with JP and Rich has made the experience even more memorable. It’s been filled with teamwork, creativity, unexpected moments, and lots of fun as we capture this next chapter of Château Chomet’s journey. ❤️
We honestly can’t wait to share everything we’ve been working on because some truly exciting transformations are on the way... and I can't wait to share them! 🏰✨ For now we need a little break and holiday.

🎬✨ Tonight is the night… where you get to see our first DIY room Project to transform one of the rooms at Château Chomet into my very own craft room! The project is finally being revealed on Chateau DIY 🏰💖
Tune in tonight on Channel 4 at 5pm (Thursday 28th May) and step inside the château to see how Dave and I started our first DIY room Project✨🕯️🌸
It was a huge learning curve, and we had a lot of learning to do, and even a year on we are still learning! 👀🎉
From ideas and dreams to paint, sparkle, storage and creativity… it’s been an incredible journey to finally have my own space!
