It's a perfect location for a quiet and beautiful holiday. Dogs are especially welcome!

The gite was lovingly renovated by Kath, it is located in the middle of rural France, you can walk out of the door and do a 15,000 step walk without crossing a road! Kath has lived in Barcelona, Brighton and San Francisco but she is a country girl at heart and is now making a life for herself, her dogs and her partner in rural France. This gite is close to the Charente river and is the perfect loc

ation for rural holidays. The little house will sleep up to 6 people, it comes with a 1/4 acre of garden, an above ground swimming pool and an endless amount of hiking, swimming, cycling, kayaking, chateau and other activities in the area. It is possible to do a 15,000 step walk from the house without crossing a road! Kath and her partner had an idea they might like to retire to France some time in the future, but along came Brexit and this idea had to be fast tracked! They used all their savings and with a little help from generous friends and family, Kath gave up her job, took the car and the dogs over to France and within 6 months, she had bought a house, applied for Brexit beating residency along with all the relevant business permits and started working on "the dream". Within 6 months of moving in, the main house was completed and now attention has turned to the Gite. This little house has views over the garden, it has an original Charentais fire place and is oozing potential. There is a long way to go, but we hope you will join us on our journey to a new life in France!

We have a glitter ball drinks trolley on the terrace, when the sun hits the terrace in the evening the little mirrors reflect around the terrace. Who knew that it would be the perfect safe way of seeing the eclipse? (thank you to our current guests for the photo!).

Today our younger wisteria at the back of the gite has come into flower, it’s a thing of beauty!!

Our beautiful tilleul, she has no competition and has become huge. She is alive with birds and insects and the sun sets behind her so she’s better entertainment on a summer evening than tv, phones or even books!
