Abberton Manor is a care home with nursing facilities to fulfil the needs of each individual resident. We believe in the "My Home Life" project which transforms the quality in life within care homes for residents, relatives and staff. Our manager has become an associate and ambassador of this programme, completing the leadership support programme. There is an excellent Social Activities team who endeavour to facilitate and deliver a programme of meaningful activities that include Quiz's, Art days, 1-2-1 Client Interaction such as painting nails and also Fun Exercising.

Yesterday we screened "Oliver Twist" in the Drawing Room. Watching movies helps reduce symptoms of depression, agitation, and loneliness by offering comfort and emotional engagement. Residents were singing along to the classics and enjoyed a Beer and a packets of crisps or popcorn while they watched the movie.
