Trefadog Cottage is ready to accept its first guests!!

This freshly renovated barn conversion in Llanfaethlu has sea views that'll stop you in your tracks, a beach right at the end of the garden, and a lookout spot where you might catch the Stena Line UKIE ferry crossing between Holyhead and Dublin.

It's dog friendly too, with room for two well-behaved pets, so the whole gang really can come along. Inside, you'll find beautiful artwork by the talented Beth Horrocks is dotted throughout, a sustainable property with EV charging on site too.

Sleeping eight across four bedrooms, it's ready for a half term escape, a family Christmas, or just getting your 2027 summer plans sorted early.

If you haven't spent a proper day in Beaumaris yet, put it top of the list.

One of the friendliest, most dog friendly towns you'll visit on the island, and when the sun is shining, it's an absolute must. You can have a quick wander or spend the whole day there. A Unesco World Heritage castle, hidden Castle Gardens Beaumaris, the Victorian pier, and one of the best ice cream stops on the island Red Boat Ice Cream Parlour,it's all there.

And food? The Midland Beaumaris is the one everyone talks about, great food, lovely surroundings, and apparently a firm favourite of Hollywood actor Stanley Tucci.

Afterwards, grab a pint at Castle Court and sit out in the courtyard looking straight at the castle🍺

The beach, Traeth Mawr, in Aberffraw is enormous.. golden sand backed by dunes, with Snowdonia rising up in the background.

It's become a real favourite with dog walkers thanks to all that open space to roam. It's great for anyone after a proper long walk, a paddle, or an afternoon with the family.

There's also coffee and cake at Llys Llewelyn Cegin Bar, Aberffraw, or a pint at The Crown - Aberffraw.

If you fancy having all of this right on your doorstep, Y Cei is a beautiful beachside property sitting on the water's edge here,

Pack a picnic, bring the family (and the dog), and give yourselves the whole day to explore.

Ever wondered how to spend a proper weekend in Rhosneigr, Anglesey?

From Friday night drinks at Sandy Mount House , then dinner at Blue Olive Rhosneigr. To surf lessons with Funsport Rhosneigr or Gecko Rhosneigr, and a slow afternoon walking round Llyn Maelog. Or perhaps a cool cocktail sat on the deck at The Oyster Catcher Restaurant, finished by a take away on the beach to watch the sunset from Scarlett's Fish & Chips.

We've mapped out 48 hours that covers the beaches, the food, the watersports and (of course) the dogs. It's one of the most dog-friendly corners of Anglesey too, so bring the whole family, four-legged members included.

Anglesey is one of the best spots around for cold water swimming, but coming back from a dip (or a full day at the beach with sandy kids and dogs in tow) is always better with the right setup waiting for you.

The Bracken's, in Malltraeth has a heated outdoor shower to rinse off and warm up.
