There's a stretch of coastal path on Anglesey's north east where the world seems to slow right down, and that's exactly where you'll find Trefadog Cottage.

Settle in on the balcony and you've got a proper view over island life: planes passing overhead, ferries crossing out at sea, kayaks and bikes moving along below. It doesn't need much else.

What we love most about Trefadog, though, is what it brings out in people once they're there. Guests tell us it takes them right back; wave jumping, skimming stones, flying kites in the wind. The kind of simple, unhurried days that are easy to forget you're missing until you're back in them.

It sleeps 8, welcomes dogs, and honestly, welcomes anyone who fancies a slower pace for a while.

There's a new addition at Hen Gi Mor.

The old garage has been transformed into a self-contained space for two, complete with its own kitchen, diner and lounge downstairs, plus a separate games room (darts included) for rainy days or a quiet evening away from the main house. Head upstairs and you'll find two singles, an en-suite, and a cosy spot to unwind.

The whole property now sleeps ten, eight in the main house and two in the annex, just 75 metres from the sand in Rhosneigr. 🐾

Plenty of room to spread out, up to three pets welcome, and... it's still available for October half term.

There's a lot packed into Trearddur Bay: coastal walks from your front door, RSPB South Stack for views and puffins up the road, Breakwater Country Park for the kids, and plenty of bars, cafes and restaurants to end the day in.

Handily, Trearddur Bay is only 10 minutes from Holyhead and the Stena Line UKIE Dublin ferry, so it's well worth the detour.
..and that pool is real. Instant Swim Trearddur Bay have a brand new outdoor heated pool, open over the holiday seasons. Not quite what you were picturing when someone said 'Anglesey' was it 😊?

A private hot tub. Landscaped gardens. Snowdonia on the horizon from the balcony. No dogs at this one, plenty of our other properties on the Porth Crigyll estate are pet-friendly if you're travelling with the pack.

Elevated, peaceful, and with views that stop you in your tracks.... Meet Lloches 🤍

Tucked away in Bryn Du near Llanfaelog, this one sits up high with Snowdonia stretching out in the distance. Dog friendly, so the whole gang can come, and EV charging on site if you're driving.

Worth flagging before you book: there are steps both inside and out, including a flight up to the front door, so it's not suited to guests with limited mobility.

But if that's not a barrier for you, this could be just the short break you're after, October half term, a cosy Christmas getaway, take your pick.

Trefadog Cottage is ready to accept its first guests!!

This freshly renovated barn conversion in Llanfaethlu has sea views that'll stop you in your tracks, a beach right at the end of the garden, and a lookout spot where you might catch the Stena Line UKIE ferry crossing between Holyhead and Dublin.

It's dog friendly too, with room for two well-behaved pets, so the whole gang really can come along. Inside, you'll find beautiful artwork by the talented Beth Horrocks is dotted throughout, a sustainable property with EV charging on site too.

Anglesey takes you back, back to when life was simpler. When you were outside from morning till dark, on your bike, exploring, not really going anywhere in particular, just going.

This is The Brackens, one of our beautiful properties in Malltraeth, on the edge of Newborough forest and Llanddwyn island.

If you haven't spent a proper day in Beaumaris yet, put it top of the list.

One of the friendliest, most dog friendly towns you'll visit on the island, and when the sun is shining, it's an absolute must. You can have a quick wander or spend the whole day there. A Unesco World Heritage castle, hidden Castle Gardens Beaumaris, the Victorian pier, and one of the best ice cream stops on the island Red Boat Ice Cream Parlour,it's all there.

And food? The Midland Beaumaris is the one everyone talks about, great food, lovely surroundings, and apparently a firm favourite of Hollywood actor Stanley Tucci.

Afterwards, grab a pint at Castle Court and sit out in the courtyard looking straight at the castle🍺
