Another job completed for a returning customer. This teenagers bedroom needed freshening up after a good few years of kids being kids. He wanted a more mature look now he was a little older and requested we cover up the car mural and clad the bed head wall with acoustic panels. The ceiling was painted in PBW emulsion, the walls in Brooklyn grey emulsion and the woodwork cleaned, sanded and brightened up with undercoat and a PBW satinwood finish. The mural required a couple of coats of stain blocking undercoat to cover some of the darker bits but now you would never know it was ever there. As a finishing touch we wall mounted his TV/Monitor on a extendable swinging bracket to create more room on his desk for that ever so important coursework and give him a more comfortable viewing experience from his bed. We did pop back once a local carpet fitter had fitted a brand new carpet and assembled a few bits of bedroom furniture but the final photos seem to have disappeared. Oh well, these photos more than let you see the transformation of this bedroom. A Little Apology & Update ❤️🔨

I just wanted to take a moment to apologise for the lack of updates and content on the ALF Professional Handyman Services page lately!

The simple truth is that I’m a one-person team, and things have been absolutely non-stop recently! 🔨🛠️

When I’m busy out on jobs, my priority is always getting the work done to the best possible standard for my customers. Unfortunately, that means keeping on top of photos, updates and social media sometimes gets pushed to the bottom of the list!

I’ve got plenty of work going on behind the scenes, and I’ll be making a real effort to share more of the projects I’m working on, before & afters, progress updates and a few more bits and pieces from us.

Take a look at these before-and-after photos from a recently completed bedroom refurbishment in Oswaldtwistle!

Some after and before photos of a recently completed conservatory renovation. After being unused, neglected for years and a leak in the roof which has previously to me arriving been fixed. New 9mm hardwood plyboards fitted with laminate flooring installed. All gaps between the roof and walls filled and sealed,with the roof undercoated and painted. The brickwork was brushed down with a heavy brush to remove old flaky paint and a couple of fresh coats of masonry paint applied. PVC frames refreshed with specialist paint for plastic/pvc. A couple of new bits of furniture from the customer put in place and this looks like a completely different room and has been brought back to life!

Project Esmai completed! What do you do when a child outgrows her ¾ bed but the room is just ever so slightly too small for a normal sized single bed and zero room for storage... you design and build a custom fit cabin bed with a kallax unit and wardrobe underneath. Then you add mod cons like USB plug sockets and install a TV because why not! All finished off with a brand new store bought flatpack make up desk/dressing table. All in all, that should make for one very happy little girl when she gets home later with her Mum and Dad and gets her first look at it.
