Our Why 🇺🇸🎗️

Whilst we love raising money for incredible charities, Compton Care is one that will always be close to our hearts.

In 2016 Compton provided their incredible services to my Uncle Gary as he battled with pancreatic cancer as well as supporting my aunty, cousin and all our family through what was an incredibly difficult time. They have since then supported a number of family members with their amazing services.

Gary was an Uncle, a best friend and a lovable giant. But he was also an American Marine, with an infectious laugh and someone who would go out of his way to help anybody.

In keeping with our family tradition me and my dad ran the Wolverhampton Marathon the following year for Compton dressed as Marines in Gary’s memory raising £1,000’s of pounds in his name.

10 years on and what better way to continue to honour his memory than raising funds for a charity we’ve been helped by first hand. I know he’d be looking down and laughing at us for how ridiculous we look!

We’re now so close to the £1000 goal so any donation would be greatly received!

It's not something that happens very often but we were delighted to assist our Surrey based clients in producing some 3D imagery to help them make some design decisions with their proposed works. Their local architect was unable to provide any 3D imagery and having seen our work reached out to see if we could help and offer some informal advice!

We offer 3D imagery as standard for all of our projects as it helps client's understand the proposal in a simple but efficient way to ensure everyone is in agreement before formally submitting for planning approval! ..

ENTER THE DRAGON 🐉

There will actually be two dragons on the start line in September at the Compton Care half marathon, as my Dad will be joining me for the 13 mile slog.

It wouldn’t be a half marathon fundraiser without my Dad. For those of you that don’t know my Dad started this idea 17 years ago when he ran the Wolverhampton Half Marathon as an air ambulance to raise funds for them having had to be air lifted to hospital after a car crash we were all involved in on the way back from one of my football matches.

Since then he’s picked a charity to support and ran in fancy dress each year to raise essential funds for them. Somewhere along the way I decided I wanted to join him and it’s become a family tradition ever since. We’ve done Batman and Robin, Mario and Luigi, Scooby Doo and Mutley to name a few.

Having tried the dragon suits on and stood side by side I genuinely think this may be one of the most difficult ones to date as they’re bloody huge and will take up most of the road. But at least we’ll have some laughs along the way.
